The Biggest Table We've Ever Built
Every once in a while a project comes along that changes how we think about our own shop. This was one of them.
A client in South Carolina wanted a table big enough to anchor family dinners for years: a full 7-foot square, built to sit at the center of a room. Our Shop Manager, Ben Feathers, designed it, and it was built start to finish here in our West Chester shop, out of character grade walnut butcher block with sap wood worked into the top.
What We Actually Do at West Chester Woodworks
People hear "custom woodworking shop" and picture one thing: furniture. That's part of it, but it's not the whole shop. Walk through our space and you'll find a 5'x10' CNC machine, a 12'x14' spray booth, stacks of rough lumber waiting to be milled, and a crew working on everything from a single dining table to a full manufacturing run for another business. Here's a real look at what we do and how each piece fits together.
From Napkins to Treetops
The best ideas don’t always start in an architect’s office. Sometimes they start over a cold beer, on a folded napkin, between two brothers who share a love of wood, craft, and the magic of making something real out of nothing. That’s exactly how this treehouse began, and it’s exactly why it means so much to everyone who has ever climbed its stairs.
